It has a vintage edition with a chrome front face that adds a nice touch. It works well in recording various wind instruments and hand percussion as it has a broad polar pattern and an open directional design. The microphone is sturdy and has low noise levels. However, users may struggle to fit it in a shock mount due to its wide base, and it is relatively heavy, so a mic stand with wide legs may be required. The sound quality is excellent, it’s incredibly accurate, and it offers a warm, woody, and natural sound when used as a drum overhead. The microphone is also incredible when used for vocals, providing a smooth midrange with plenty of definition. It is reasonably priced and has plenty of gain on tap. However, it may be a little muffled, but this can easily be fixed with EQ-ing.
