The hat comes with a Velcro buckle and will fit 12-month-olds well. It is very cute and the price is great for what is offered. However, some customers did receive the hat damaged with scuff marks or shoe dust and wood chips on it. The sizing can also be off, as some received hats sized for 2-5 year-olds, despite ordering for infants, and had to give the hat to their older children. That being said, the hat fits some toddlers perfectly and can last them a while, as it can be tightened with the Velcro buckle and washed up great after use.
