grandtobuy Bread Proofing Baskets Editorial Review
The 2 x 10-inch round sourdough banneton bread proofing baskets have garnered positive feedback from home bakers and professionals alike, proving to be a valuable addition to their bread-making arsenal. Customers appreciate the excellent value these bannetons offer, especially in terms of size and functionality. With the ability to comfortably hold around 1kg of dough, these baskets are ideal for both smaller and larger loaves. Many users have reported that these bannetons facilitate better proofing compared to more traditional bamboo options, emphasizing the ease of use and maintenance. Compared to bamboo baskets, these are highlighted for their ease of cleaning, notably due to their material that allows for efficient brushing out of any remnants from the dough. However, it is noted that flouring the baskets is essential to prevent sticking, especially during initial uses, as some users experienced minor stickiness that could discolor the basket. Despite being slightly thinner than some expected, the general Consensus is that they perform their intended function well and contribute to improvements in the bread-making process. Overall, customers express satisfaction, citing that these bannetons have made their sourdough baking endeavors easier and more effective, resulting in quality loaves.
