AMD CPU Processors Editorial Review
AMD RyzenTM ThreadripperTM PRO 7965WX 24-Core, 48-Thread Processor delivers exceptional performance, particularly for content creation and heavy multitasking with its impressive 5.3 GHz speed and 48 threads. Users have found it excels in tasks like editing and data management, making it a solid choice for professionals in need of robust computing power. However, some users reported challenges with thermal throttling under heavy load, suggesting that selected cooling solutions may not be adequate. It's crucial to ensure the correct socket type is applied, as the processor requires the sTR5 socket for optimal performance. Overall, its performance per watt remains commendable even when benchmarked against similar options.
