Misfits Format: Audio CD Israel 017046752022 Editorial Review
**** The reception of the reissued “Static Age” by the Misfits among customers has been overwhelmingly positive. Many fans express their enthusiasm for owning a quality pressing of this influential album, highlighting the improved sound quality and vibrant packaging that enhance the listening experience. Numerous reviewers have emphasized the joy of finally having this classic album, originally recorded in 1978 but only released in 1997, in their collection. They appreciate the extra tracks included and note how this version outshines previous compilations and remixes, particularly critiquing the “Legacy of Brutality” and other collections that contain inferior versions of some tracks. The distinct vintage artwork and the nostalgic references to pulp and horror comics have also resonated positively with customers, who feel that it adds a charming touch to the package. Comments about the sound quality are particularly strong, with several users asserting that this pressing delivers a rich and immersive audio experience. First-time listeners of the Misfits are encouraged to start with this album, as it is described as the hallmark of their sound. The Consensus among reviewers is that “Static Age” is an essential addition to any vinyl collection, especially for fans of punk rock and the Misfits. Overall, "Static Age" has not only met the expectations of longtime fans but has also captivated new listeners, solidifying its status as a classic in the vinyl community. **
