Recensione editoriale
The Long Shadow [DVD] is an engaging exploration of British crime history, featuring exceptional performances from a talented cast that includes Daniel Mays and Jill Halfpenny. The series delves into the investigative blunders of the police during the search for the Yorkshire Ripper, emphasizing the darker aspects of the case and its impact on the victims. With a runtime of over five hours, it's a gripping drama that captures the audience from the first episode. Some viewers appreciate how it evokes a nostalgic portrayal of the 1970s, reflecting on societal attitudes and the media's role during that time. Despite minor critiques regarding its presentation, the overwhelming consensus is that this production is compelling and worth revisiting, showcasing the depth of the characters and story.
