Yüzlerce yıl önce, bir çiftlikte geçen hikâye, bir kızı, ona âşık iki oğlanı ve gülümseyen adam dedikleri, en derin arzularınızı gerçekleştiren ama bunun karşılığında en büyük bedeli isteyen uğursuz bir hayaletle yaptıkları tuhaf bir anlaşmayı konu alır. Ertesi gün, okul gezisi için ürkütücü bir geçmişe sahip yerel bir çiftliğe giderken Ollie hâlâ kitabın etkisindedir.
