Case Folding Knives Editorial Review

The Case 980 Sheath for Trapper knives has garnered positive feedback from customers for its quality, durability, and practicality. Many users praise the genuine leather material, which is believed to be cowhide, noting its attractive appearance and robust Construction. Customers report that the sheath fits their trapper knives perfectly, ensuring a secure hold that prevents rattling or accidental drop. The sheath's ability to withstand daily wear and tear is particularly highlighted, with one user mentioning its effectiveness for an iron worker who utilizes it every day without the knife ever falling out. This assurance of security has made the product a favorite among customers who frequently misplace their tools; one reviewer noted their husband’s newfound habit of keeping his Case knife securely attached to his belt after previously losing it for months. Users also mention that while the sheath has a pale appearance when first acquired, a little maintenance, such as applying Obenauf’s heavy-duty leather conditioner, enhances its appearance and longevity. The natural color changes and softening of the leather through use were seen as normal and even desirable, adding to the character of the product. Overall, the Case 980 Sheath excels in functionality, aesthetics, and durability, making it a recommended purchase for knife owners looking for a reliable holder for their trapper knives. **
