atp automotive Speedometer Cables Editorial Review

The ATP Automotive Y-856 Speedometer Cable has garnered a generally favorable reception among customers, particularly those repairing classic vehicles like the1977 Ford F-150. Users emphasize its good fit regarding length and ease of installation, taking around half an hour to set up. Many express satisfaction with the cable's performance, highlighting that the speedometer functions accurately and that the odometer effectively tracks mileage. The product stands out from previous experiences with other brands, where the speedometer clip failed to remain secure. However, there are some drawbacks noted by users. The cable does not include essential components such as the speedo gear, a lock-down tab for securing the transmission side, or an O-ring. This omission necessitates careful procurement or reuse of original parts, which could complicate the installation process for some customers. In summary, the ATP Automotive Y-856 Speedometer Cable is praised for its fit and ease of use, making it a solid choice for owners of compatible vehicles. Nonetheless, Prospective buyers should be aware of the components they may need to source separately for a complete and hassle-free installation. **
